2012 was definitely a year of trials with lots of ups and downs.
January started with off quite hard for us. We were very worried about the baby and discouraged by all the pain and contractions I was having. I was doing a ton of resting on the couch, luckily all went well. January also found us hitting the basement hard with lots of mudding. We had to say good bye to our beloved cat of almost 13 years, Domino.
We also said good-bye to our truck of 8 years, I loved this truck.
February found the girls enjoying the snow, some new visitors, donuts with dad, and muffins with mom.
I also worked on the baby's room and still felt pretty cruddy, but we did enjoy some time out playing black light mini-golf.
March found us getting more snow, painting the basement, going to the movies, turning 33, celebrating 14 years, saying goodbye to George, having some fun penny rolling, a meningitis scare, a diagnosis of iron deficiency anemia (but also feeling better), Ash had her business fair, we saw Sue again, and finally some warmer weather. March was a busy month!
In April we celebrated Easter and a 4th birthday swimming, had fun dying
eggs, egg hunting, Ky got offered a party-time job with the city, the
carpet got put in the basement, Ash & Kaite got moved into their new
rooms, Ky was back in class, and the mobile finally left!
May was a good month for us. We got the baby's room ready, Kami moved into her new room, went to the movies one last time (for awhile), had a ballet recital, saw some family, and oh yea had a baby!
Alyvia Kylie born May 26th at 2:35 am 6.9 pounds and 19.5 inches long.
In June we slowed down some and enjoyed our new little one. Ky turned 36, Lyvi turned 1 month, I turned Kami loose with my camera, the girls finished up school, we spent some time outside, had a party at the pool, and we started swimming lessons.
July we got the window wells in and landscaping brick down, we celebrated the 4th, took some family photos and said goodbye to Missy, finished up swimming lessons, Kaite learned to dive and started soccer, Ky finished up the semester we celebrated and went to the zoo, Lyvi turned two months old and got blessed.
August gave us a little scare, we hung out with cousins and uncles, watched the summer Olympics and participated in them, played in the water, went to the cabin, shared the stomach flu with everyone, Lyvi turned 3 months, and the girls started school.
In September Ash turned 10, Lyvi turned 4 months, we went to the fair, enjoyed spud harvest, Ky started classes again, went for a drive, had a birthday party, and had a skunk spraying.
October was fun. We harvested all the produce we were given, had the primary program, Halloween and the carnival, carved pumpkins, played in the snow, Lyvi turned 5 months and started real food.
November we voted, I finished my wreath, we played in the snow, took baptism pictures, experimented with hair, we celebrated Thanksgiving, saw some family and King Tut, Lyvi started sitting up and turned 6 months old.
December was crazy busy we had a ballet recital, an 8th birthday party, a baptism, multiple Christmas parties, went to the museum, Ky finished the semester, we celebrated Christmas and New Years, played in the snow, and Lyvi turned 7 months old.
It is unbelievable how fast this year has gone. It really was a crazy year for us, we accomplished a ton and worried about a ton. We do have a beautiful new baby (well 7 month old) to show for it and three more gorgeous girls. I am excited for the new year and all it has to bring, I am enjoying watching the girls grow up but their personalities are sure flourishing. Good bye 2012 and Hello 2013!
