Happy 10th Birthday Kaite!

Kaitlyn turned 10 Sunday the 7th. I can't believe she is already 10 years old and it has been a whole decade.
We had a fun party with friends.

Presents! She was so excited to open them.

 She really wanted a ukulele.
And she loves this of course!

 Ky even tried it out.
Kami couldn't even get it off the ground.
 Chocolate chip pancakes
 family party

She loved all her presents...I always feel so bad her birthday is so close to Christmas. She had a good day though!
Getting sung to at primary!
Kaitlyn is such a joy to have in our house! She is so much fun and has a strong fireball personality! Kaitlyn loves 4th grade and is doing great in school. She decided to leave the girls gymnastics team this year and try cheer-leading instead, she loves it! She is the "flyer" of the group and has a ball with all the stunts, it is right up her alley. Kaitlyn is so much fun and the two little ones just love to play with her. Kenzey squeals and says "Kaite" when she gets home. Kaitlyn can be such a sweetheart and the best helper when she wants to be! She also has a very strong personality and knows exactly what she wants, nobody is going to talk her into doing something she doesn't want to do! We love her and I love all the questions and crazy ideas she comes up with! She is just awesome!

Happy Birthday Kaite!

Happy Birthday Kaite!

My Kaite pie turned 9 yesterday. I can't believe it's been 9 years since she came into our lives. Kaitlyn is my fireball and always has been! She can be so difficult and challenging, but she can also be the sweetest girl ever. Kaite can make me laugh like no one else. She is so inquisitive it drives me crazy at times, but we love her so much!
I see how hard it is to have a birthday in December and so close to Christmas, so we try to make it extra special. We had a ton going on yesterday but we did two parties for her.
She woke up at 6:30 and just sat on the couch (where I found her) waiting until 8 to open her presents. The other girls never would have done that!
Books

 Earmuffs
She wanted these so bad, they look so cute on her!
 new shirts
 new boots
 and a nerf bow.
She loves it! We got her extra arrows and a pack for them. She has been shooting all 27 arrows all over my house the past 24 hours. I was so glad it was a universal one and not just a right-handed bow.
Lyvi didn't like the earmuffs much!
She wanted chocolate chip pancakes with chocolate syrup for breakfast.
We had a party for her at the barn. Four of her friends were able to come, glad it didn't snow too bad.
 They played games
we had presents. Eli photo bombed most of the pics, so funny!

Kaitlyn, Eli, Rylee, Christianna, and Shae
They spent some time throwing the balloons off the third floor.

We had cupcakes, only after I made them did I remember I have a Christmas tree pan-could have made my life easier!
Then we went out to dinner with our families.
too cute and still pretty bald!
 more presents

then we had to head over for the Nutcracker recital.
My two ballerinas and my birthday girl, it was a special night.
It was a long exhausting day for everyone, but it turned out great and she had a good birthday. I can't believe how fast she is growing up! She really has such an awesome personality and just brightens up our house. We love you Kaite!
Happy 9th Birthday Kaitlyn!!!

4th of July

The 4th was a nice needed break for us, too bad the hot weather didn't take a break!
First thing we hit the parade. This was kind of chaotic with having to drop Kaite off and pick her up amongst all the people, but it worked out okay.
I didn't take as many pics this yr.
Ash was very excited! haha
Chelsea and Kami
Kami and Ash collected candy
Mar and my very bald baby, she really is growing hair!
Cory and Lyvi- yep I see the pole!
Me and my baby girl!
 Lyvi loved her popsicle!
The star of the show.....Kaite got to walk with her team. We even got to see her do the tumble track (the tramp on the flat bead below) but I didn't have my camera ready.
I didn't get a pic of her before the parade with her hair all cute, this is after the parade and playing at the splash park. This is her team practice leo, the leo colors are different depending on the level they are in.
My girls in their cute shirts
Our patriotic nails!
After the parade we had a bbq then headed home to hang sheet rock in the basement. The guy contracted to do it couldn't get to it until the following week and Ky's buddy backed out at the last minute......so we ended up doing it. It is insulated, sheet rocked, and a couple of coats of mud are up. The carpet is sitting in the garage waiting for us to finish mudding, texturing, and painting. We are hoping to start carpet next Wednesday. The insurance company gave us a nice allotment for carpet so we got the better stuff that we LOVE to put down there. I can't wait until life is back to normal!
That night we hit the local fireworks. I love that we can leave our house 15 minutes before it starts and be home within 10 minutes of it being over. We had fun.
We came home and lit of our own. Lyvi cried, she did not like them!
I think it was a good 4th. I loved being home in the afternoon/evening. Seeing Kaite in the parade was awesome though!
