Happy First Birthday Kenzey!

Kenzey turned 1 year old on the 13th. I can't believe my baby is already a year. Poor Kami came down with strep, but the rest of the day was great!

Kenzey is such a joy to have in our home! She is such a happy girl and just loves her sisters. She weighed in at 17.03 pounds and 27 3/4 inches tall. She finally has the confidence to walk around the house and she is getting in some good practice. Kenzey is such a social little girl and just loves people. She still gives the best hugs and loves to cuddle with me! She sleeps about 11 hours at night and takes a 2-3 hour nap. She is an awesome eater and loves to feed herself. She loves playing with Lyvi and really tries to keep up with her at everything! She has six teeth now and working on two more bottom ones. She is talking up a storm and now says "up" when she wants picked up and "out", but my favorite is that she is saying "Ashley and "Kaite". I love her cheesy smile and how she scrunches her nose up and just grins at you. She is just such a sweet happy girl and we love her so much!

10 and 11 months

Catching up on 10 and 11 months!
 

At 10 months you were into having fun! You loved to cruise around the furniture, click your tongue, and say "uh oh". You loved real food and cut down to just one bottle a day. You finally got another bottom tooth in! You still give the best hugs EVER! And love to snuggle, it is awesome! You are still so happy and just the best baby ever! You weighed in at 16.7 and 26.5 inches long. You can stand by yourself and love to get into the mix with your sisters.

 

 At 11 months you are starting to lose some baby fat and lengthen out. You weighed in at 17.8 pounds and are getting tall (forgot to measure you). You love to look out the window and say "kitty". You are also saying "good girl, ball, hi, your sisters' names" and a few others. You love to tease me with your signing and sign that you need a drink then turn away! You took a few steps to mom right before Halloween, but are now scared to do it again. You now eat more than Lyvi does and really love fruit. I have to hide the fruit from you or you won't eat anything else. You scream in protest when Lyvi takes something away, but you also take things from her too. You loved your first Halloween and everyone loved you, glad the weather cooperated! You get into the cupboards and love to open the shower door on me. Your happy, cute, teasing personality is really starting to show. You get so excited when you see your sisters, especially Kaite. You are still an awesome sleeper, and sleep all night and take a great nap....but you love to get up at 630 to see those sisters off to school. You are just so much fun!

9 Months

 Kenzey turned 9 months old almost two weeks ago. I feel like life is on fast forward for me now, I really wish it would slow down! Anyway, she is getting so big and growing so much. I still haven't weighed or measured her, next month. She is still the happiest little girl and is now on the go! She loves to crawl around and pull herself up on EVERYTHING. Her balance is getting better and she may be walking in the next few months. She already will let go and stand for a bit by herself and she really tries to stand up in the middle of the room. She has an awesome appetite and has virtually cut out all her bottles, just snacks with them now. She is finally signing for me, she resisted forever but knew what I was saying. Now she signs "more" and attempts "drink". She is also starting to be more verbal and attempt words. She still loves her sisters and just loves to be with them. Kenzey is so fun and her personality is really coming out. I have moved her into 12 month clothes (the ones I just put away from Lyvi not too long ago), and she is moving up to a size 3 in shoes. Kenzey really is the best baby, she loves to go places and is so happy. Loving this girls so much!

7 Months Old

Kenzey turned 7 months old a few days ago. She has had a busy month. This month she got her two bottom teeth, started holding her bottle, started feeding herself, started waving and saying what sounds like "hi", started sitting up, started army crawling (a little bit), and went to her first drive-in movie (How to Train Your Dragon 2). She is still weighing in at 15.4 pounds and is 25.5 inches long. She loves to eat real food. She loves her wagon wheels, puffs, and even bits of pancake and bread. She loves to play with her sisters and is still so incredibly happy all the time. She is just such an awesome baby! I couldn't have asked for a better/happier little girl! She is so much fun!

6 Months Old!

Kenzey turned six months old yesterday. She is weighing in at just over 15 pounds and is growing like a weed (our chunky monkey). This past month she has really started to expand her diet. She loves watermelon, pickles, sweet potatoes/zucchini, and anything else she can get in her mouth. She can use a sippy cup just fine and is getting less messy when she eats. Kenzey prefers to be put to bed awake and to fall asleep on her own, although she still snuggles with me every now and then. She is still sleeping about 11 hours at night and then a good 3-4 hour nap during the day. This month Kenzey started falling asleep by herself, drank from a sippy cup, ate fruit, started sticking out her tongue and blowing raspberries, started sucking on her toes, can move her walker around, can scoot around on her back to get things, and went to the movie theater and drive-in for the first time. She had a pretty big month with her accomplishments, and she is so close to sitting up by herself. She is getting more vocal with her growling and babbling, that should be fun at church! She is still just such a happy baby with a big smile. She loves to go places and especially loves it when I wear her when we are out. She is very social and reminds me a lot of Ash. She loves to splash in the tub and is fascinated with almost all of Lyvi's toys, she tries so hard to take them and eat them! Kenzey's feet are so tiny, she still can't wear the size 1's yet. I can't get shoes to stay on her, but her canckles are huge! I am wondering if she will be small like Lyvi, except for all that chunky baby fat! She is such a fun happy baby! We love her so much!

5 Months

Kenzey is 5 months old today. She has been such a joy in our house, we love her so much! Her personality has really started to come out this month. She is so happy all the time, as long as mom is holding her! She is still putting EVERYTHING in her mouth and will (hopefully) bust out those two bottom teeth any day now. She is getting so chunky and weighed in at 14 pounds today! She loves food. She prefers oatmeal over rice cereal and loves carrots. She gets so excited to eat.

Kenzey is still sleeping through the night great and I am planning on moving her to her crib (hopefully this week) at night. I still haven't figured out nap time with two girls in the same room on different nap schedules. She is getting really good at using her hands and grabs at everything in sight. She has also started to push her walker backward across the floor. She loves to go anywhere and really loves to be outside. She gets so excited to see her sisters when they get home. She is such a social baby and reminds me so much of Ash.

4 Months Old

 Kenzey is four months old today. She weighs about 13 pounds (our scale was indecisive) and is 24 inches long. She is our chunky monkey! She is getting her bottom two teeth and is drooling like crazy. She is also putting everything in her mouth! She is constantly trying to chew on our hands, wrists, arms, and any other appendage she can fit in there. She really is the happiest baby ever! She still just loves to be held or talked to, she is very social. Kenzey's personality reminds me so much of Ashley. She loves her sisters very much. She is such a ham and loves to ride in the car. She started rolling over this past month and now will not stay on her tummy at all. She is still sleeping nice long stretches at night and we will be starting rice cereal tomorrow. She is still totally and completely a mama's girl, which I do LOVE! Kenzey really is such a wonderful addition to our home.

Kenzey's blessing

Kenzey's blessing was almost two weeks ago (has it really been that long). We had originally planned to do it this weekend, but some things came up and we moved it up to the end of March. I guess there really wasn't a great time to do it. Some of the family couldn't make it and then there was church. As I was changing Kenzey into her dress we got the call.....church got canceled. We got a ton of heavy wet snow and the power went out, so she was blessed at home. It was a very nice blessing. She is such a sweet special spirit. I just love her so much! She is so happy all the time and brightens up the house.

Trying to get a photo with all of us looking good is just about impossible! I don't know how Missy managed to do it so often with our family photo! Someone is always making faces (or has their eyes closed).

 Nick wanted a family photo too, this was my fave! Kami loved spending three weekends with Anna in less than two months.

Thanks to all those that came! I was bummed I didn't get to take her to church and show her off in her pretty dress, but this is one blessing I will never forget! It really was a special day.
