April Fools Your 31!

It happened. On Wednesday I turned 31, yikes! I think this was harder than 30. It was a fun day. Ash had half a day, but Ky and Kaite made me breakfast and treated me right. I did have to attend parent/teacher conferences but that went great as always. Ash is reading above the third grade level and since the school librarian wont let her check out the third grade books her teacher has given her access to her own private books. She is the class "chapter book reader". She is also trying to be the first one in her class to hit 400 books read this school year, she is so close. Anyways, we had bruschetta chicken for dinner and I got some great gifts, thanks everyone! I had a good birthday. Although, it wouldn't be my birthday without some crappy gloomy weather, mother nature delivered!
The presents. A new MP3.
The cutest throw ever!
The slicer/shredder attachment for my mixer to name a few.
My cake the girls made.
Kami enjoying the decorating. And Pillsbury makes a wonderful chocolate cream cheese frosting milk free!!! Kami is loving life! FYI this is a spatula not a knife.
April fools started us out with over three inches of snow- not a good April fools joke! After school Ash spent some time unearthing a dinosaur from one of my presents. She loved it and may still end up a paleontologist after all!

We also attended a wedding reception for Erin. Erin is the girl that does our hair and also one of the cutest people EVER. She looked so gorgeous and did a great job decorating and doing her own flowers. She really was a beautiful bride. Of course, not one of us brought our camera or phone! Here is her announcement, it too was just adorable.

I thought it was fitting that she got married on April Fools- so her!
Here is what else we have been up to.
The girls spending "quality time" with Aunt Marianne over spring break.
My bathtub has been turned into an incubator for the tomatoes and peppers!
And we are hitting the basement hard to catch up on how far behind we have fallen. We also have numerous Easter activities this weekend, provided the weather doesn't ruin everything. Thankfully, I haven't focused too much on the fact that I am moving closer to 40, ahh! Oh well it has been a fun week!

Happy Birthday! and thanks for all the maternity clothes, I've been having fun trying a bunch of stuff on. Most of it still looks funny on me 'cause I'm not that big yet, but hey, I'm getting there, I can feel it.
