Last Day of Summer

We had a good last day of summer. Not exactly what I would have liked to have done. We started out with a trip to the doctor. Kaitlyn had her check up and things look good. We also got her pathology report back on her appendix. Everything was as expected, diagnosis acute appendicitis and no abnormal findings such as cancer. She got the all clear to go back into the water. So, we had lunch with my sis and hit the splash park after gymnastics. Ashley had a ball. She played hard. Kaitlyn got wet a couple of times and was too cold to really get in and play. Kami got her feet wet and then ran from the water! We then rode the carousel and had a nice visit with Chantelle. I would have liked to have done something big before school started, I am hoping we can make that up this weekend. We had a good day even though the summer seemed sooo short.
We spent an evening this week around the fire pit. We had fun roasting marshmallows and starbursts. We did do a few fun things before school started!

On a side note. Kaitlyn is recovering nicely. She still gets tired if she does too much. She didn't required much pain medicine and I think at the end it was more to make me feel better. That just seems like it should hurt. She hasn't got back on her bike yet, but I do still have to remind her to take it easy. She is doing very well considering.
