4th of July

The 4th was a nice needed break for us, too bad the hot weather didn't take a break!
First thing we hit the parade. This was kind of chaotic with having to drop Kaite off and pick her up amongst all the people, but it worked out okay.
I didn't take as many pics this yr.
Ash was very excited! haha
Chelsea and Kami
Kami and Ash collected candy
Mar and my very bald baby, she really is growing hair!
Cory and Lyvi- yep I see the pole!
Me and my baby girl!
 Lyvi loved her popsicle!
The star of the show.....Kaite got to walk with her team. We even got to see her do the tumble track (the tramp on the flat bead below) but I didn't have my camera ready.
I didn't get a pic of her before the parade with her hair all cute, this is after the parade and playing at the splash park. This is her team practice leo, the leo colors are different depending on the level they are in.
My girls in their cute shirts
Our patriotic nails!
After the parade we had a bbq then headed home to hang sheet rock in the basement. The guy contracted to do it couldn't get to it until the following week and Ky's buddy backed out at the last minute......so we ended up doing it. It is insulated, sheet rocked, and a couple of coats of mud are up. The carpet is sitting in the garage waiting for us to finish mudding, texturing, and painting. We are hoping to start carpet next Wednesday. The insurance company gave us a nice allotment for carpet so we got the better stuff that we LOVE to put down there. I can't wait until life is back to normal!
That night we hit the local fireworks. I love that we can leave our house 15 minutes before it starts and be home within 10 minutes of it being over. We had fun.
We came home and lit of our own. Lyvi cried, she did not like them!
I think it was a good 4th. I loved being home in the afternoon/evening. Seeing Kaite in the parade was awesome though!

Catch Up

Well since my day is going to be spent listening to them tearing up my basement I figured I would catch up on my blogging, more on the basement later.
So here is what we have been up to since just before school got out.
The girls had their gymnastics Olympics. It really cracks me up how Kami is just there kind of oblivious to what is going on until they tell her to do something! She wants to start ballet in the fall which will be a much better fit for her if we can work it into the schedule.

Kami's group with her friend London.

Kaite just seemed to be having an off day, fell off the beam twice and just didn't seem to be focused. She loves doing gym twice a week now and is doing so much better. Although, she was so sore for the first couple of weeks..

Kaite with her class. This was her last Olympics, now she competes with the team at meets all over the area, and gets to be in the parade this year!

 The two of them.

 Cute sisters

Ash had her ballet recital the last day of school, they performed Aladdin. Ash was an Arabian Princess.
This first one is from dress rehearsal, it was a long 3 hours! The performance the next night went really well, except Lyvi did not like it

Kenadee came with us and then spent the night.

The next day we got up and went swimming. This was Lyvi's first time and she LOVED it. I wish I would have gotten a pic of Ash and Kenadee on the rock wall, everyone had a great time.

Lyvi didn't like the slide very much.

Keeping track of 5 girls was not so easy, good practice though!

Of course we stopped at the candy shop and Lyvi got her first sucker, loved it!

We got some new kittens and they have kept the girls pretty occupied. They can spend hours playing with them, keeps the house quiet.

Kami had fun one day while Ash was swimming and Kaite was at gym.

Ky has been building the girls a swing set, he calls it a jungle gym. We have needed a new one for about 2 yrs now and saved up to get one but then realized they were way more than we thought. It took a little while but I talked Ky into building one. He had a lot of the wood already and we had parts from our old set so we spent way less on this one and we bought a new slide, swing, monkey bars, and a fire pole. Next year we will add a tube slide off the top platform. He is still working on it (obviously) but has already enclosed the top platform into a playhouse and started some handrail. There is still a ton to do but Ky is enjoying it and the girls love playing on it! More pics when it is done.

 Lyvi LOVES to swing.

The girls have been enjoying the warm weather and have had some good water fights!

We celebrated Father's Day which didn't go exactly as planned since I had bronchitis....we sure love you Kyle! He is the best daddy and husband EVER!

Kami lost her first tooth, we had to pull it since the permanent one is already coming in, she didn't even cry though!

We have spent some time at the carousel, always a favorite. Lyvi cries, so we just watch.
Now the basement......
Monday night we were out working on the swing set and came in to the entire basement in water, the carpet was floating. Turns out the sprinkler valve in front of the house was open and when Ky started the pod line at the barn water just shot out of it right into Kaite's window well for about 3 hours. Ky said it shoots about a gallon a second. What a mess! Water was just pouring in her window.

Really there was water everywhere, it was so horrible! We called Ky's buddy who works for a restoration company and they came out and sucked up the water until 3am. They came back yesterday and pulled up all the carpet and padding. Since it is ditch water that came in everything within 2 ft of the floor has to go, all the sheetrock, insulation, and the carpet. So today they are cutting all the sheetrock and trashing all our year old carpet, it makes me sick really. The basement smells fine (their fans are awesome) and hopefully this will be done soon! Thankfully, no problems with the insurance and we may even get an allowance for better carpet, but if not we like our old stuff.

For now all 4 girls are bunking in one room and I just can't even go downstairs, it makes me cry. My kitchen is full of food storage, but we will get through this and maybe it will look even better than before. We were really lucky the trim wasn't up yet! I hope everything is back to normal in the next three weeks!

My appointment went well Wednesday. I am measuring 8 days ahead, but they won't move my due date up, ugh. She didn't cooperate for the ultrasound and it took 55 minutes to get what we needed but everything looks great. She had the hiccups for most of it which made me laugh. We couldn't tell for sure if it is a boy or girl so we will be waiting a few weeks. I did find out the doc was worried about my sugars and my age and that was why he was so insistent on the u.s. My sugars were fine and not even registering on the stick!!! I am worried about another BIG baby though.....
I love this first pic of her profile!

And this one you can see her legs real well.
We feel very blessed that things are going so well. We have had quite a few friends and family that are having problems, one of which will be having surgery in the next couple of weeks at only 21 weeks pregnant. Honestly, as long as the baby is healthy we will be very happy. I know some of you feel that "Ky needs a boy" but he loves his girls so much! We would both be thrilled with another girl and it takes a very special guy to raise this many girls!

Shocker

So this is about the biggest shock/surprise I have ever had!
Baby #5 is due December 23rd.
I think me, Ky, and Kami are the only ones who think it is a girl, but that is all we produce and we love them!
I really thought we were done and did not want to go through pregnancy again since I have such a hard time. Well the man upstairs had other plans, SURPRISE. The girls are very excited, I am still in shock. The baby will be due 2 days after Ky graduates, and her and Lyvi will be 18-19 months apart....that is so close!
So far things have been good. I haven't been sick, as long as I eat every couple of hours and get enough sleep. Other than being completely exhausted and the growing belly I don't feel prego. However, when I went in for my last appointment my sugars were through the roof, so lets hope I have fixed that problem!
Only 28 weeks to go.

Happy Birthday Kyle!

Ky had his birthday today. We had a fun busy day!
Ky is an awesome husband and father, I couldn't ask for better! We all love him so much and the girls LOVE having him home. I was glad we got to spend the entire day with him!
We started with presents, smelling his new wallet.

haha!
 Lyvi finally got into it
Top Gear 2 (his fave show) and some other stuff.
 who needs toys?
omelets, sausage, and hashbrowns for breakfast

haha didn't have a 3 so close enough! Ky and Cory share the same b-day just YEARS apart!
Ky and his girls, they totally love him!
Kami kept saying "happy birthday old fart" all day!! So funny! Me and Ash had fun picking out a bunch of "over the hill" decorations! He loves it!
Happy Birthday Kyle! We love you!!!!
(did you see it? if not look closer!)

Daisy

It has been 4 weeks since our beloved dog Daisy passed away. She was the best dog EVER! We all still miss her so much and it has been really hard on us, it is like loosing a member of our family because she was. I still find myself looking around for her since she used to follow me around constantly. Ky says he has come home and expected to see her come running up to us. I can still see her laying out on the deck in the sun.
We buried her next to Domino under a tree with a great view of the mountains, she loved it here. She loved to roam and watch over the property. She was so good with the girls, all of them. They have always loved to climb allover her and pull on everything, she just took it and I think loved it. She loved to play with them and would start pacing the house about 5 minutes before the bus got home. She would go out with them every morning and "stand guard" as they boarded the bus, she even got on with them once or twice!
I remember the day I picked her out at the shelter 11 1/2 years ago, I really wanted to take them all home! She was a sweet puppy from the start but did not like to be alone and wanted to sleep with us from the beginning. She loved to go everywhere with us and got so excited. She would lay on the girls' beds until they fell asleep every night and then come upstairs to bed.
Daisy had been getting old and started having the usual aches and pains. She also started having seizures, which the vet says was typical of the golden retriever in her. We honestly thought she had a few more years in her, and the day before she died she was playing and chasing the ball like a puppy. None of the girls were here when it happened, I was glad for that. She went quickly and I am pretty sure she had a stroke. I am glad she didn't suffer and wasn't alone. Sam knew something was up and has seemed more calm since it happened. The girls tell me almost every day that they miss her, this has been really hard on all of us.
Kami took these two when she got ahold of my camera after I had Lyvi.
Her horrible hair cut below, Ky hated it when I did this to her.
 Kami throwing snow on her.
she was such a cute puppy!
 hiking with us
I didn't have a hard time finding pictures of her, cause she was there for everything. Every time we were outside or any family event she was there, so tons of pictures.
There will never be another dog as good as her.
Rest in peace sweet girl we love you and we will miss you!
