Happy Birthday Kaite!!

Happy Birthday Kaitlyn!!
My baby girl turned 7 last Wednesday. She was up bright and early to open her presents. She actually begged me for days to open "just one please".
Cars 2
Books
A barbie
Showing off her new slippers
She also got a matching dress set for her and her doll.
After school we headed to Gym, then had pizza and cupcakes at my fam's.
She got more presents and my mom gave her her favorite present of the day. She has wanted a train FOREVER!
I think she had a great day. She always feels overshadowed by the holidays and this year we added Ash's Nutcracker to all that.
Friday she had her friends over. I think she was more excited about this than anything.
They played games.
Just Dance 2
We had cake and ice cream.
Kami made a mess.
They opened presents.
She had such fun with her friends. I did feel bad for Eli since he was the only boy, but he didn't seem to mind. Her, Eli, and Shae are totally inseparable at school. I call them the three musketeers.
Kaite is such a sweetheart we love her so much. She has the cutest personality. She can make us laugh so hard. She is also so thoughtful and a great big sister. Kaite is very excited about the baby. Kaite is doing so well in school her reading has really excelled this year. She is also doing awesome in gymnastics and is almost ready to move up to the team. Our home definitely would not be the same without her. We love you Kaite!!!

Update

Since it has been two weeks since I have posted I guess I better get something up, especially since tomorrow is Kaite's birthday. Here is what we have been up to.
The kids have been playing outside as much as possible.
Snowball fight with dad.
And over the Thanksgiving weekend we sheet rocked the basement!
Before:
Living room
Ash's bedroom
Kaite's room
After:
Living room
Ash's room
Kaite's room
Ky's family came up and helped him sheet rock it, they did it all in one day. Thanks to all those who came up, I really don't know what we would have done without your help. There is no way Ky could do that by himself and I can't help... this was a huge stress reliever for him.
The kids played outside in the snow for hours.
After they were done downstairs we played Just Dance 2. This game is such a hit with everyone, even Anna was getting in on it!
We had a nice visit and enjoyed having Devin, Julie, Nicholas, and Anna stay with us for a couple of nights. Kami loves playing with someone her own age! Ky is planning on mudding, taping, and texturing after finals next week. Only one more week of this semester! I am so excited! He has been so busy though, but is still getting straight A's. This semester has been really rough on him and he just found out two of his classes he is taking are going to be split into two semester classes. He said he did two semesters worth of work in one for both classes, which explains why he was so busy. He did get some good news this week. He got his paid internship with one of the local cities working in their engineering department using Auto Cad. He starts in January.
Kami got her red, yellow, and white ribbons in gym. She is really learning fast!
Ash finished up with her Nutcracker performances on Monday. She was so cute and did such a good job, but most importantly she loved it!
This is her in her Russian peppermint costume.
I have a video of her that I will try and get posted- our computer is having issues.
I loved seeing her up on stage, she was having so much fun. This studio she is with is all about having fun. Kami was hilarious to watch too. She would stand up in front of her seat and lift her arms and legs with the dancers! Maybe she should be in ballet instead of gymnastics!
I finally remembered to post George blowing out his candle.
We also enjoyed a nice Thanksgiving with my family, I was sick all day though. And Ky was such a good sport to hit the stores that night to pick up a few items. We squeezed in an orthodontist appointment, Ash's teeth are looking great, a haircut for Kaite, she was looking pretty scraggly, and even a vet appointment for Domino. Poor Domino has a tumor in his left lung that has most likely spread, he is doing a little better after some shots but we will have to put him down pretty soon. He turns 13 this month and still acts like he did the day we got him. Ky is planning on writing about all the funny memories we have of him.
I went to the doctor last week and the baby is doing great, I am not though. I also got that you lost two pounds and you can't do that look. I can't eat!! I can't keep anything down! This pregnancy has been completely different than the other three. With the other three I was sick the first trimester (and lost all my weight then) but felt great by the second, not this one.....yuk and this baby doesn't like any food! Plus I can't do anything without cramping. They told me I have to take it easy more-yeah right and to remember I am pregnant- how could I forget! I am hoping it does get better soon. We do get to find out the sex of the baby at the end of January!
Ky got released from YM a couple of weeks ago, we were both so happy....until they made him ward mission leader. One busy calling to another. He will do great though.
Thursday is the only day I don't have something scheduled in the last two weeks and for the next week. I am so looking forward to resting!
The next post will be Kaite's birthday post, lots to do for her.

Unproductive

So the last week and a half I have felt so useless. I have had that crappy prego stuffiness from the start, but about a week and a half ago I woke up at 430 in the morning so stuffy I couldn't go back to sleep. Yep I had caught a cold on top of everything else. I spent the next three days on the couch barely moving. As the head cold started to move from my head to my chest I just got worse, leading to a nice sinus infection and a touch of bronchitis. I have been using my nebs and the netti pot, if only I could take something that would really help! I am starting to feel better and I am grateful I got sick when I did because the next four weeks are just packed full of stuff. However, it doesn't erase the feeling of uselessness I have had. We did get a few things done.
We celebrated George's birthday. I barely managed to make him my awesome cheesecake.--pics coming later.
We got all the wood cut, stacked, and split. Thanks to the elders quorum and Chris- he is always here to help!
The basement is almost completely wired and ready for sheet rock, all Ky and Ash.
We had a mini Harry Potter weekend, which I slept through.
The girls have enjoyed all the new snow we have. They even broke out the sleds and managed to sled in the backyard, not quite sure how but they did.
This week is packed full of Thanksgiving family stuff, then comes the fun. Ash's Nutcracker is coming up in the next couple of weeks and we have practices and more practices, plus Kaite is turning 7 in there somewhere! It is going to be a crazy month.
I have started playing Christmas music whenever I can and it is driving Ky crazy. He doesn't believe in listening until after Thanksgiving!
I added a poll on the left of the blog......you can vote boy, girl, or twins!

Halloween

I am finally getting around to posting about Halloween. I was hoping to post this last week but we have been busy. Halloween is always a two night deal for us. We spent Friday night at the school carnival, the girls love this! Ash's favorite thing this year was the haunted room, she went through like 4 times! The face painting is always a big hit with Kaite and Kami. We had a fun couple of hours but boy was it hot. The only time I have been hot in weeks was walking around that school! We had fun though, I think the girls enjoy it more than trick-or-treating. I completely forgot my camera and didn't think to take any pics with my phone at the carnival- prego brain!
We had a tooth fairy (3rd year in a row to have a fairy).
A black cat
And Minnie Mouse, of course!
Sunday we carved pumpkins since this was the only time we could find to do them. Ky was even able to take an hour and help. Ash did not like cleaning out her pumpkin, she said it was "gross"! She is such a girl! Kaite on the other hand loved it and thought it was cool. We let Kami color as usual and thankfully she didn't get it on her clothes!
Check out Ash's face!
Then Monday we headed to my parents to trunk-or-treat. I actually do like this since they get to spend most of the night at the house answering the door and not out in the cold.
Mar does take them to a couple of houses in the neighborhood.
Then we went and visited Mahon and Cindy, and then Chantelle and Chelsea (Chris was working). Chantelle made Chelsea the cutest Tinkerbell costume ever! Check out her little shoes too!
The girls had a fun night but by the time it was over I was so crabby and ready for bed! They got tons of candy as usual and now want to eat it every day. Ash is already planning costumes for next year, silly girl!

Just a funny side not that today I am 11 weeks on 11-11-11!

1 2 3...

I feel like our world has been turned upside down this past year. We have had our fair share of surprises and stresses around here. Ky deciding to go back to school was sure life altering, it has been a huge adjustment in all our lives. I think we are coping fairly well. He does have one more surprise up his sleeve which we will be sharing in January after he does a little more research. His professors have all been trying to convince him to do this for quite some time, we finally came around. There have been many other surprises in our lives some good and some bad, no matter what they all make us grow.

I do have to give credit to Kyle this was a take off his original idea. Here is our latest surprise!
Ashley-1
Kaite-2
Kami-3
Baby #4
We couldn't believe it when we found out we were pregnant. I honestly thought this wasn't going to happen. We have been trying for over 2 years and I was to the point that I thought we were done. I even told people I wasn't sure if I wanted another one, because it was easier than explaining why we weren't pregnant. We are all so excited! Ash has had a real hard time keeping it a secret and I think now everyone will know the first day- she would shout it off the roof top if she could! This pregnancy has been so hard to hide. I feel like I got bigger faster, plus I have been so exhausted and cold. Ky says it is because I am older and not in my 20's anymore-thanks! The morning sickness hasn't been too bad as long as I don't eat anything with flavor after 4pm!
When Kami found out she said "it's gonna be a boy"! Ash thinks it will be a boy, Kaite says girl. Me and Ky have both been back and forth, but I am going to say girl.
So we will be welcoming our newest surprise around or before (hopefully) June 1st!
I found these in my car after my appointment, what a sweetie I have!
