Christmas

Christmas this year was very different for us. Since I was in England for the 10 days preceding Christmas we didn't get to do our traditional stuff as a family, I missed out on the carols, hot cocoa, the traditional Christmas movies, and looking at lights. We never did manage to get our nativity put up. Needless to say, it didn't really feel like Christmas to me and still doesn't even now. I think that the ultimate gift this year was the fact that I did make it home for Christmas, I walked in about 3:30 am, but I was here. Here are some of the highlights.
Christmas eve pj's
Peppa pig for Kami from the UK, Kami loves Peppa pig
Kaite's snow globe from London
Ash's fairy books from London, these are the newest released ones that probably won't be available here until the end of next year.
Blankets from Grandma B
My vase that I LOVE
Kami's big gift this year was a scooter. Santa brought her the pads and all morning she kept asking to open one certain present when I asked her why she said "that's my new scooter" she said that is why Santa brought her pads. I still can't figure out how she new it was a scooter!
The girls got furniture for their new dollhouse
This is actually my old dollhouse that we fixed up and the girls are going to help us redecorate it, they love it.
Kami was wiped out by the end of the night

We did have a good Christmas and I wasn't as tired as I thought I would be. I had been up 31 hours by the time I went to bed Christmas eve, crazy! Anyway, the girls were so happy that "Santa" brought me home to them. My mom came up and stayed the night with us and the girls loved having her here for presents. Merry Christmas everyone!
Christmas dresses, they wore them this past Sunday since I wasn't here the previous one.
I will post about London later. I have a TON of pictures to go through so it will take a few posts to get everything in.

O Christmas Tree

Friday night we put the tree up. The girls had so much fun and Kami loved hanging up the ornaments, and we only broke 2!
The train, Kami promptly broke on Saturday, it had survived for many years. We are looking into fixing it.
The finished product.
We had our traditional sleeping under the tree night.
We had another busy day on Saturday. The girls had their gymnastic showcase in the morning. Kaite doing a roll on the beam.
Ash doing her handstand flat-back.
Ash dismounting from the bars. I am still getting use to the new camera, I wish I could have gotten her back-hip circle.
Chelsea hanging out with us.
Metals
Here is video of Kaite on the bars.

After gym we headed over to congratulate Travis, Sabra, and Hunter. They were sealed in the temple, that was a long day coming.
Sunday me and the girls enjoyed a little girl time after church and watched Ramona and Beezus, it was so cute I loved it! Kaite so reminds me of Ramona! I think we are going to have to buy that one. Ash really liked it too, she is really growing up. Also, this weekend me and Ky watched Charlie St. Cloud it was pretty good, sad though.
I have now spent the last two days doing laundry and spending as much time as possible with the girls. Will things ever slow down?

Happy Birthday Kaite!

Last Tuesday my baby turned six years old! She was so excited and has been counting down the days for at least a month. Sunday she got to wear her birthday dress (her favorite color) and the kids sang to her.
Then on Monday we had her family party with her Aunts, Uncles, and Grandparents. They are always so nice to bring presents, I think the girls are spoiled. We had a good evening of visiting and eating cake. Thanks to everyone who came and supported Kaite she loved it!
Some of the gifts she got. (not all of my picts turned out, we are still working out the kinks in the new camera, so if your gift isn't here the pic probably didn't turn out)
Ash being goofy.
Her cake, I went easy this time due to how busy things are.
Then Tuesday morning she got up and we opened presents before Ash headed off to school.
Her big present she really wanted, a red scooter!
Her birthday breakfast, french toast.
She spent the rest of the day riding her scooter and playing with her new toys. We then went to gym where they sang to her and then we had plans to take her out to dinner. She wanted to go to Craigos, but when we got there it was super busy so we went to McD's her second choice. The girls had the play equipment to themselves except for one other kid. Thanks to mom and Mar for joining us and making her day even more special. (We eventually hit Craigos Thursday with Mahon and Cindy)
Kami helping make the cake!
Friday we had her friends over for her friends party. She had such a hard time deciding who to invite, but she was so excited! We played some games, had cake, and fun.
Okay, Ash looks just like me!
Kaite and Lily
Kaite and her best friend Shay
Poor Trenton was the only boy since Eli couldn't come, he played foosball with Ky most of the time. Ky could sure use a boy.
I was really worried that we would have to cancel the party since it was a blizzard that morning, thankfully it cleared up! She had so much fun! I think she had the best birthday ever!
Happy Birthday Kaite! We love you so much!
