2nd Half of Summer

I can't believe that summer is mostly gone, the girls are back in school and it is starting to cool off. Summer went so fast and I feel like we didn't do half the stuff we wanted to. Here is what we did do.
We spent some time swimming and hanging out at the fire pit.
Lyvi grabbed a second cookie as they went by, one in each hand.
We had some fun at a party for Mar and Cory. Yep, Ky has a bra on his head!! So awesome!
Mar and Cory had their wedding reception. The barn looked great!
I was pretty happy with the cake. I can always see the imperfections and I know if I wasn't prego it would have been better. Overall, I was pretty happy with how it turned out and more importantly Mar seemed happy with it. The top was strawberry with cream cheese and the bottom white chocolate with strawberry cream filling, it was good. I couldn't keep Ky out of the leftovers! If you did your math right you will realize the middle three layers were fake!
The happy couple.
Lyvi ate her dress all night!
but she was sorta cute!
Me and my sis, ignore the belly ugh!
James and Amanda, we are all hoping they are next!
Lyvi was so crabby by the end of the night.
We had family photos. This is the 3rd family photo I have taken prego or really post par-tum, not advisable!
Our girlies
Ash, can't get hers to turn no matter what I did.
Kaite
Kams
Lyvi on the go like always.
Kaite got her neckgear. This first one was when they placed the bans and had to let them dry.
She is so excited, the retainer comes in 4 weeks.
The girls had their first day of school yesterday.
My little nervous Kindergartener. She did great and had a fun day at school, she can't wait to go back tomorrow!
Kaite in 3rd, the shoes are so her.
Ash is growing right up and in 5th now.
We also went to the summer movies a few times, Lyvi was not good! Went to a few parties, dance clinics, and the carousel. And we spent a ton of time with family. This past week we have got to spend time with Harriet and George before the fly back to SC. The girls have enjoyed all the family time and cousin time they have had. We still have a somewhat mild week ahead before we start the fall schedule for ballet and gym. Kami was so excited to get her ballet stuff the other day. She asks all the time if she can wear her shoes and learn ballet at home. I am excited to see how she takes to this and to see her in her recitals of the Nutcracker and Sleeping Beauty. I am trying to get all of Ash's b-day shopping done by the end of the week so that is taken care of. Her b-day is two weeks from today, she is growing up so fast. I am hoping we get to catch up on more fun during spud harvest!

The Black Tube

I will admit when Ky told me he wanted to bring home this black tube from one of the street projects he was overseeing I was skeptical. I really thought it would just turn everyone's clothes black and then would just sit all ugly in the backyard. Boy was I wrong! That tube has been a huge hit. The kids LOVE it!
(Yep, stole your pics Missy!)
But I think the adults love it even more!
It turned out to be a huge hit at the reunion.
Ky and Gene have it down

I think Missy and Sydney were too short!
The kids love to pack inside of it and roll around, they can do this for hours (so far no injuries). Crazy how much fun a simple piece of pipe can be!

Fun Times

Here is some of the fun we have had the past two weeks.
We finished up with our last round of swim lessons.
Here is Ash using her pants as a floatation device. She had to bring the brick up from the bottom too.
Kaite doing front crawl. Her teacher was awesome and even taught her how to flip and turn against the wall when she is racing. Kaite was the smallest in her class but the fastest in all the races.
Kami doing her front crawl. Also, she is now able to keep her face in the water for 10 sec while floating on her tummy.
We spent a weekend with Ky's family. We had a TON of people here with only two bathrooms! We had some fun camping outside, playing games, but mostly playing with cousins.
We had puzzle races.
Ky shooting the bow. I missed getting a pic of Kaite she was so cute! Anyone get one??? She was super excited to shoot for the first time.
Lots of cousin time!
Kami and Kate
Ky's parents celebrated their 40th. We got them this mirror as a gift (thanks Chris for taking the reins, I so did not have the time!)
We also got to spend some time with Missy at the zoo.
Lyvi was fascinated with the animals, she would point and call all the animals Oreo (my family's dog).
We got to see the red panda.
This guy isn't as big as George's stationed on his base!!!
Lyvi played with her feet A LOT!
The girls filled up their rock jar again, so we had some fun on Saturday. They get to put a rock in for everything they do that we are working on that round and when it is full we do something fun of their choice.
Kami was awesome on the go carts. She totally slammed a car at the end when she was pulling into the pit, good thing it was unoccupied!
Ash and Ky rock climbed.
The bumper boats were a big hit! The girls soaked Ky!!!!
Kami got the hang of it real quick and loved soaking others.
Ash and Kaite sparring.
Kaite the winner of course.
It is about time we got to have some real fun around here. The basement is back to normal, actually better than before. I think the rest of life is getting back to our routine, well for a couple of weeks until Mar's wedding reception and school starts. The girls get to go see the orthodontist this week and Kaite gets to start her treatments, but we get to do some clothes shopping!!
