Warm Weather Fun

The trees are in full bloom.

I thought I would post before the crazy weekend starts. We will be spending the weekend with Ky's family. Devin and Julie are coming up and we haven't seen Anna since December.
We have been enjoying all this wonderful weather. We have been spending every night outside doing some form of yard work. Kami will now bring me her shoes when she wants to head out, the only time she will wear shoes! Here are a few picts.
So defiant!
Sticking her tongue out at mom, one of her favorite things to do!
The only sour spot we have had in the last couple of days is that we had to get rid of one of our dogs. Ralph decided to develop the habit of biting. Thankfully, it was only me. The girls just wanted him to go back to were he came from. They took it very well considering. So, Kyle and Travis took him "home". Sam has adjusted well and spends most of his time on the deck, he is such a good dog! Poor Katie, this is the second animal of hers in a month that is now gone. Kyle had a mishap one morning while he was leaving for work and now Dasher is no more. I think Ashley has taken them harder though. Hopefully, this weekend will get their minds off of everything.

Weekend Fun

We have had another busy weekend. Friday afternoon we went down to the BYU orchards. Cindy wanted to get some pics of the girls, I am sure hers are better than mine! Anyway, I remember watching them plant years ago, but I have never been there. It was so pretty and such a nice day to be there. I think I could have stayed all day. Kami was being her usual clingy self, but Ash and Katie were hams! We had fun and I had a few pics turn out.
Saturday we got the boys moved and the garden planted! We are so excited to have a garden this year. I think we planted everything and I am hoping we didn't go overboard. Although, I don't think everything will grow up here.
Posing for Cindy
Kaitlyn keeping the dandelion population up!
Done!

We also had a little incident come up this weekend and I have been enjoying some reminiscing. I told Kyle all about the time that me and Audra got to go to Boise for Youth Legislature. We had so much fun with our mock trial. I have always enjoyed making my case and "arguing" my point. If lawyers didn't spend so much time researching I think I definitely could have done that. Our "researching" we did was always tons of fun though! We had so much fun. I think my favorite part was the tour we got. We got to see the judges private library. Wow they had a ton of law books! See I still can remember high school, it wasn't that long ago!

Unexpected Visitor

Yesterday as we were getting ready to head into town when I discovered a visitor. At first I thought it was a mouse until I saw the wings. We had just been using this screen door about an hour previously. It was pretty neat to see it up close, it didn't seem to mind us even when we tapped on the glass. I eventually sprayed it with water and it left. I didn't think it would be wise just to leave it where someone or the dog could find it (ie rabies). I have to say that a bat on my screen door was not on my list of wild animals to see at HOME!

Yard Work

We are finally getting some nice weather around here! We spent the evening out in the yard. I mowed, Kyle and Katie cleaned up. Ashley had the wonderful task of watching Kami. She hates the trampoline and screams on it, but it is the safest place for her while I am driving around. Ashley's dirty feet from playing in the grass clippings.
Such a big helper!
Eating dirt...what else!
We had such a fun night outside. I am hoping this nice weather sticks around for awhile. We are hoping to get the garden planted this week and we still have more landscaping we would like to do this year. There is so much satisfaction from working on your own yard.

Blogging Again

I am finally blogging again. First we had more computer issues, I just got lazy and did not want to use the laptop to blog. Then we were just down right busy. As a matter of fact, this is the only day this week I have been home. I thought I better post before the day gets hectic.

We have a few new additions to our craziness. We picked up three new kittens and Ashley still wants one more from her friend Shelby. They are very cute and mischievous! Thankfully, they LOVE mice!
Meet Dasher, Morris, and Squirrel
Morris is the cat we named (the one in the middle). He is just like our Domino in every way. He is so spunky and funny.
This is Dasher. He is Kaitlyn's kitty. This cat is amazing. He loves Kaitlyn so much. When we went over to pick them out he let her just hold him. He will sit in her arms for hours and purr, he loves it. She loves it too and is so good with him. Kaitlyn is his "person".
The tabby is Squirrel. She is Ashley's kitty. She named her. I don't know why squirrel, but she is her kitty. She is so cute and sweet. Look close and you can see Ashley is missing another tooth. She also had her field trip this past week. They went out to the sand dunes but had to come back early due to the wind. She did get to eat cactus though, but said it tasted like lettuce and spit it out! She had so much fun with her friends and I wish I could have gone.

Kyle was inducted into the search and rescue as a full fledged member this week. He got his coat and radio and stuff.
modeling!
I am hoping that we don't actually have to buy him a Klim since he has one now. He also outfitted his truck with all his stickers and is still looking for a light. He is very excited and even got to go out on another rescue last week. We had already put the snowmobiles away but his came back out. Who new there was still three feet of snow in Island Park!
Kyle also cleaned out the garage. We can now fit two vehicles in there! The garage was a mess when we moved in and it has taken us this long to clean it out. It was seriously embarrassing, but now anyone can see it! I meant to get a pic but totally spaced. He worked so hard on it and it took forever. Now we are going to see about some landscaping and planting the garden. I am still not quite sure when to plant here. Jen said to wait until late May, any ideas?

I think I have mostly caught us up. We still have a couple of busy days ahead with Mother's Day and all. I am also excited to take my gum paste class over the next couple of weeks. I love the fondant but the gum paste flowers look more real. Let's hope I can get back to "normal" life and maybe I won't be such a blogging slacker!
