Happy Birthday Kami!

Kami turned 5 yesterday. I can't believe my baby is 5 yrs old. I am not excited for her to start kindergarten, but couldn't wait to send the other two! Kami is my sweetheart, she is just a really sweet little girl. She is a very tender spirit and loves everyone. We hardly ever have to discipline her at all, she is just a really good girl. She is also my very girly girl. She is girly through and through. I have this incredible bond with her (not that I don't with the other three) but we have always been so close. I have always wondered if it is because I didn't work with her like I did with Ash and Kaite, or if it is just her sweet spirit, or it could be that she was my "miracle baby". Kami was in a lot of distress during my labor and was very grey when she was born, her feet were still grey like two hours later.
Anyways, Friday we did her friends party and Sunday was her birthday (swimming this weekend to celebrate).
Here she is in her B-day dress.
Pin the tail on the donkey was a HUGE hit with the kids.

Everything was pink and red for Strawberry Shortcake, Cash and Bryce didn't seem to mind too much!
Cambree, Bryce, Cash, Kami, London, and Madison
Alright, she loved her cake- I did not. Lyvi chose the day I made it to be a royal PAIN. She threw a huge fit in the middle of frosting it and that just threw me off from there.....then later when I was decorating it I forgot to put the stripes on the bottom AND I got lazy and used gum paste instead of fondant. It really was a mess all over, but tasted good (strawberry cake with cream cheese frosting). It's a good thing kids don't care what it looks like as long as it tastes good!
 They played with balloons
 and had a blast.
 Then we opened presents
That night we celebrated with my family at McDonald's and more cake (they were headed to LA the next day for my sis' wedding) and presents.
Sunday morning we woke up and opened more presents. I got some AWESOME deals!
little purse and nail stuff
 new skirt
new shirt and strawberry shortcake bubble bath
 books
 blueberry muffin doll
plum pudding doll with outfits, this completes her set.

 bubble machine

 And her big present

Strawberry Shortcake's berry bitty market with car..... She loved it!
I spent all day today buckling in all her different dolls in that car.
She wanted pancakes for breakfast.
Ky turned on the bubble machine in the house! It was super cold outside though.
 More b-day dress pics
Lyvi was in a good mood despite only sleeping 45 minutes at church (she slept 13 hours last night!)
 modeling her new outfit
more cake with Grandma and Grandpa B.
This was the top layer that got kind of mangled when I pulled it off!
licking her 5
 talking to her uncles
 legos from grandma and grandpa
Kami had a good day. I love what a happy girl she always is!
We love you Kami!

Spring Break

I have been trying to write this post for almost a week now and just haven't had the time, plus there is so much it was a little overwhelming!
Spring break was a very busy time for us. We started with parent-teacher conferences and then our 15th anniversary. So on Friday we decided to take the girls out for some fun. We went ice skating, so Kami could show off her skills and the rest of us could polish the ice!!
We had so much fun, well most of us!
This is where Kaite spent most of her time, literally on the ice! She is so dramatic, she said she doesn't ever want to skate again....
Kami showed off her skills. She has been really practicing this.
Showing her swizzles. She did so well with her lessons but I will save that for another post.
Her and Ash raced around the rink. Ash fell down a lot but got up and kept going, she had fun. She also had a nasty bruise on her knee the next day.
Kami skated circles around all of us, but we did have fun. Ky held out much longer than I did, I forgot how much it hurts your feet. I do wonder if it had anything to do with Ky having hockey skates and I had figure skates, hockey skates have so much more support. We were able to time it right and go during Lyvi's nap time and she just slept at Grandma and Grandpa's.
That evening while Ash was at ballet Mar highlighted my hair (for my birthday)! I love it!
Saturday we got up and headed for the S&R egg hunt. The girls always love this. Kami got to go with the younger kids for the last time and had Ky helping her.
Ash was totally ready to go.
I was between Ash and Kami's fields taking pictures and by the time I got to Kaite's they were done. The girls all had fun though.
When we got home we set up the tramp. The girls stayed outside jumping for 4 hours....with no sunscreen, oops. Kami was a tomato when she went to bed!
We also dyed eggs.
Alyvia's egg we made her.
The girls' finished products, Ash's (top row), Kaite's (middle row), and Kami's (bottom row).
We then dumped the dye on the sled hill that was severely melted.
We made resurrection rolls and talked about the true meaning of Easter.
Sunday morning was a double whammy, my birthday and Easter.
They made me wear the princess hat, my head was too big it didn't fit!

We got up and checked out the baskets (Lyvi was having a moment) and made sure all 81 eggs were found.
Ky made bunny pancakes.
Then we TRIED to get some pictures before church.
We were late for church and never got decent pics. We did better when we got home.
Kaite still wasn't super cooperative!

Me and my cutie, a pic for the frame she made me.

I can't believe how grown up Ash is getting!
That night my family came over for dinner and cake. I got my yummy strawberry swirl cake!
I think we all had a good day, it didn't feel too much like my birthday. Ky said "maybe you won't feel older then".
Monday the girls played outside again with no sunscreen, I am not doing very well in the mother-of-the-year department!
We had a good spring break and I was sad to see them go off to school again, but hey summer will be here soon.

15 Years!

Last Thursday we celebrated our 15 year anniversary! It is hard to believe it has been 15 years (and 4 girls later), but at the same time I feel like we have been together for a lifetime. It has been a good 15 yrs and I look forward to more! That isn't saying it has always been easy, because it hasn't! We have had to work to have a good marriage that still has had its ups and downs, but more ups. I can definitely say that I love him more today than I did the day I married him! Ky planned an awesome date for us. He took me out for drinks, appetizers, dinner, and dessert all at different restaurants. We played the quarter game and flipped until we found a place to get our drinks then hopped back in the car and did it again. We had a blast! We also spent some time at Walmart playing hide-and-seek, Ky kicked my butt. But my favorite part of the date was when we went and saw "our bench" where we first met, and also walked around the temple. The weather was perfect for us, not cold like the day we got married. We really had so much fun, Ky put a lot of thought into our date and we both agree it is an anniversary we will never forget! Another great part is the gift certificate to a spa that he gave me, I am looking forward to using that! I definitely picked a good one, he is sure awesome!!!
