Thanksgiving 2012

It was our year with Ky's family. Chris and Chantelle hosted dinner and since we were so close we were able to visit with both our families. We got to see James, the girls were so excited! They played with him and wore him out! We got to spend a few days with him it was nice, but he won't be back until it's warm out.
Kami wore her outfit she made at preschool.

Gene came and stayed with us for a few nights. The girls had fun tormenting him and he tormented them!
Gene and Chelsea
 Chantelle's table looked awesome!
Lyvi enjoyed her first Thanksgiving, eating her bib.
Like father like daughter! (can't figure out how to get these to stay side-by-side)
 Silly!
The only pic of the turkey, already carved. I haven't been so great about getting pics, maybe cause I am busy with the kiddos! Anyway, I rely on others to steal my camera and take them for me!!!
The food was awesome, the turkey turned out fabulous, but my favorite is the desert! Cindy made a banana cream pie that I just couldn't resist, it was so good. We also had apple pie, cheesecake (my famous awesome recipe), and I made a caramel-pumpkin mousse tart with a pecan crumble.... for Ash- she loves her pumpkin pie.
Mahon, Cindy, and baby girl crashed after dinner.
We enjoyed some puzzles and games and ate cheese-balls!
It was a good Thanksgiving. We had so much fun, we have so much to be thankful for. It was nice to see Ky and spend some time as a family (only 2 more weeks of school!!!).

After dinner and fun me and my mom hit the sales- don't know if I will ever do that again!!!! Fortunately, I was all but done with my shopping so not much disappointment when we didn't get what we wanted. Those shoppers are crazy!!

Random Pics

My SILs do mobile moments and post all their pics for the month taken from their cell phones. I don't take a lot of pics with my phone.... I don't.  So I was quite surprised the other day when my memory was full. I got to looking and found some surprises. Apparently while I drive Ash sneaks my phone and has fun. Here are some of the ones I liked the best since there were hundreds on there!

These ones are from Justice with Mar.

Haha I got this one morning!
  After her highlights.

Lyvi had fun with James over Thanksgiving. She loved to wear his hat!
 And pull his hair!
 Loved the hat.
 So cute!
 She sleeps so funny sometimes.
I have know idea what this is from!
 My photog.

 Ky is so goofy!
 She really hated her dress!

These were cute and I wanted to get them posted before deleting them. I sure love my girlies!

6 Months!

Alyvia is six months old today. She weighs 14.2 pounds and is about 26 inches long. She loves to sit up and scream (happily). She has also started "walking" back and forth between us holding onto our fingers. Recently she has learned her "happy dance" where she wiggles her bum. She especially likes to do this when she is eating. I am going to get it on video, it is so funny. Still no teeth yet! She loves to play peek-a-boo. She has also started to be a Houdini in her crib. She can get her jammies off and even get her diaper off under her jammies. She loves her real food and constantly tries to get mine! She is just so happy and fun. She is to the point where she has to be "entertained". She likes new things and is constantly on the go. She says "dada" and "mom" but only says mom when I walk out of the room and she screams it. Lyvi has serious separation anxiety already. She is just so cute and always happy. She is really such a joy to have around.
And she has mastered the sippy cup! She can even pick it up and drink it without help on occasion.

Update: I caught her doing her happy dance sound asleep in her crib last night!

Sitting up

 Look who is sitting up!
And proud of it!

She has been doing this for over a week now. She is getting pretty good at it, but gets stuck when she does fall over.

Some of the things we love about this time of year.
Candy cane Hershey kisses
Cuties, I love that the girls can peel them by themselves!

Ash being silly. Ky likes to buy the sugary cereal, yuk. I only allow it on Saturdays, last Saturday it was something with chocolate. Ash loves chocolate milk, I guess this was pretty good to her.

Shorts & Sandals

Since it has started cooling down at night we have started using the stove. We know it is time when the furnace runs a ton and it is freezing (inside) in the morning. Well this happens to be the first year the basement is mostly finished and actually has insulation and decent windows. Yeah are average temp when we use the stove is 78 degrees upstairs, the basement is warmer. We have all pulled our flip flops and shorts back out. Ky said it is free heat so we can open up windows and doors as needed, okay then. Hey it beats being cold!

Can't wait to get them in the mail.
Thanks Missy!

Defiant

You know those times when you feel like hitting your head against the wall..... yeah it was one of those nights. Defiant Kaite made an appearance, enough said. We just love her. How can you not, she is so stinkin cute!
I saw this plaque one time and it said "raising kids is like being pecked to death by a chicken" so true!
I have a serious headache though and I am out of bubble bath.
