Happy Birthday Kami!

Kami turned six last week. I have a hard time believing she is actually six, she is growing up so fast! Kami is my sweetheart. She has a heart of gold and just loves everyone. She loves to be a big sister and help with both the little ones. Kami holds a special place in my heart. I don't know if it is because she is my first child I got to stay home with, or that I got to spend the most one-on-one time with her, or it is just her sweet spirit but I sure do love that girl! Kami has done very well transitioning from the youngest to the middle child in a year and a half. She really loves to help, but she really loves nap time (for her sisters) so she can have mom time. She is very much a mommy's girl. Kami is loving Kindergarten and is doing so well. She is excited to be a first grader next year, but I will miss her so much! Her favorite color is still orange and she is still my biggest girly-girl ever! Her birthday requests this year were "anything Frozen" and a "Frozen party" (which I am still working on). Here are pics of her day.

4 Months Old

Kenzey is four months old today. She weighs about 13 pounds (our scale was indecisive) and is 24 inches long. She is our chunky monkey! She is getting her bottom two teeth and is drooling like crazy. She is also putting everything in her mouth! She is constantly trying to chew on our hands, wrists, arms, and any other appendage she can fit in there. She really is the happiest baby ever! She still just loves to be held or talked to, she is very social. Kenzey's personality reminds me so much of Ashley. She loves her sisters very much. She is such a ham and loves to ride in the car. She started rolling over this past month and now will not stay on her tummy at all. She is still sleeping nice long stretches at night and we will be starting rice cereal tomorrow. She is still totally and completely a mama's girl, which I do LOVE! Kenzey really is such a wonderful addition to our home.
More photos because I can never pick just one.
Love her personality in this one.

Kenzey's blessing

Kenzey's blessing was almost two weeks ago (has it really been that long). We had originally planned to do it this weekend, but some things came up and we moved it up to the end of March. I guess there really wasn't a great time to do it. Some of the family couldn't make it and then there was church. As I was changing Kenzey into her dress we got the call.....church got canceled. We got a ton of heavy wet snow and the power went out, so she was blessed at home. It was a very nice blessing. She is such a sweet special spirit. I just love her so much! She is so happy all the time and brightens up the house.
Here are my favorite pics.
Always eating everything.
I love the way her dress sparkles here.
These ones just cause you can see the whole dress.
Oh and yes she spit up all over her dress right before we took these!
Trying to get a photo with all of us looking good is just about impossible! I don't know how Missy managed to do it so often with our family photo! Someone is always making faces (or has their eyes closed).
Nick wanted a family photo too, this was my fave! Kami loved spending three weekends with Anna in less than two months.
Waiting to get blessed, you can see the shoes here.
Mar and Cory......looks like they might need one soon!
Thanks to all those that came! I was bummed I didn't get to take her to church and show her off in her pretty dress, but this is one blessing I will never forget! It really was a special day.

Another catch-up post!

So apparently I am just not going to get better at blogging anytime soon. I am so far behind I just play catch up anymore. I have high hopes that sometime in the future life will get less chaotic (hope). In the meantime here is another summary of what we have been up to.
Kaite had her last meet so we all took a trip down. This last meet wasn't so great. The home team just walloped everyone, her team usually takes 2 or 3rd and didn't even place. Oh well, she had fun and that is what is important. She has her back handspring down and has been learning to "fly" from one bar to the other. Ky said she is doing great with it.
We had fun hanging out with cousins and visiting the horses. The girls love horses so much....hmmm I wonder if we know anyone with horses that lives close!!!
We definitely enjoyed the warmer weather.
Being silly
Only 2 months apart
bestie cousins
My fave pic the whole trip. (visiting Gene and his lizards)
Ky went with Ash on her class field trip cross-country skiing. It had been quite awhile since Ky has skied but he did great. They had a perfect day and lots of fun. next year I am going downhill skiing with her.
I love all the goofy faces Ash makes!
Hams
Kami passed off all her "no excuse" words. She also read Green Eggs and Ham to me awhile back. I think we finally have that reading thing down!!!
team photo from one of the first meets, they took 2nd here.
Finally some hair I can put up!!!
kicking back with the Justice catalog, she LOVES it...we are in so much trouble!
first Sunday at church.
A few random pics.
We celebrated 16 years of marriage. We also had a contest to see who bought the tackiest anniversary present....my tiki doll (Buddha on Slim fast) won! Now Ky has to "display him proudly" until next year!
I also celebrated a birthday, 26 again! We made it to a wedding, had a baby blessing (pics from that later), got the tube slide up on the swing set, had "muffins with mom","donuts with dad", and watched conference. This weekend we will be celebrating another birthday, going to another wedding, and a baby shower. I am sure by the time Easter is over I will be ready to do another catch-up post! Life sure stays busy with all these kiddos, but I wouldn't have it any other way!
