Here is what we have been doing this summer so far.
We went to the drive-in and saw Monsters U, loved it! Ash and Kaite watched from out the sunroof, silly girls.
water balloon fight
reading, we have been to the library tons! The girls have ready so many books it's awesome!
We had a nasty hail storm that wiped out a bunch of our garden, it also rained so much it leaked into Ash's room (good thing the carpet wasn't down yet!)
We had tons of laundry to wash with everything in the basement, this is how Lyvi helps with the clean laundry!
Love these pics!
The girls have played with their cats. Unfortunately, we lost this one and Kami's within like 3 days.
We met a new cousin, and got to spend some time with Chelsea, there was a party going on that night!
We finished our first round of swimming lessons (we have gone through 3 or 4 swim suits so far this year).
Kami floating and looking for her ring, ready for level 2.
Kaite doing her awesome backstroke and diving (passed off level 4).
Ash swimming in her clothes and swimming a 500. She had to swim the 500, tread for 10 min (2 with out hands), and bring up a brick from the bottom of the pool. Ash will continue with level 6 until she is 15 and can take the lifeguard class.
Lyvi decided last Monday that she can walk! Now she is terrorizing the house, still won't wear shoes much though.
We went swimming with the city last Thursday and had a fun night! It was good to spend some time together, Ky finished up finals the night before.
And of course the basement. the before when everything was tore up.
And the after, everyone is back in their rooms and mostly moved in (Kami's books still need to be put away). And we finally got carpet at the bottom of the stairs, everyone loves the new better carpet! trim next.
Ky got the gutters up, this should eliminate any leaking into Ash's room from any big storms we get. They will have to come off every winter though.
My girls in their pretty white dresses.
We have been so busy with everything that I feel like most of the summer is gone. It has been so hot that we haven't spent much time outside. We did find some time to go see Red 2, can't wait to watch it again.
Ky finished up this semester with 4 A's and 1 B, but he had a 91.88%- I thought that was an A.....different grading scale. With the end of this semester he has everything for his Architecture degree, only one more semester to go and he will also have his Construction Management degree! We are all so excited!

Kami said the funniest thing to me one night. She asked me "mom does your hair really turn brown when you cut it?" It all clicked at that moment, that is why she was so terrified to have me even trim it! She said she does not want brown hair! haha Ky said everyone does say she has hair like Tangled maybe we have watched that movie too many times.

So there is our catch up for the first half of the summer.

4th of July

The 4th was a nice needed break for us, too bad the hot weather didn't take a break!
First thing we hit the parade. This was kind of chaotic with having to drop Kaite off and pick her up amongst all the people, but it worked out okay.
I didn't take as many pics this yr.
Ash was very excited! haha
Chelsea and Kami
Kami and Ash collected candy
Mar and my very bald baby, she really is growing hair!
Cory and Lyvi- yep I see the pole!
Me and my baby girl!
 Lyvi loved her popsicle!
The star of the show.....Kaite got to walk with her team. We even got to see her do the tumble track (the tramp on the flat bead below) but I didn't have my camera ready.
I didn't get a pic of her before the parade with her hair all cute, this is after the parade and playing at the splash park. This is her team practice leo, the leo colors are different depending on the level they are in.
My girls in their cute shirts
Our patriotic nails!
After the parade we had a bbq then headed home to hang sheet rock in the basement. The guy contracted to do it couldn't get to it until the following week and Ky's buddy backed out at the last minute......so we ended up doing it. It is insulated, sheet rocked, and a couple of coats of mud are up. The carpet is sitting in the garage waiting for us to finish mudding, texturing, and painting. We are hoping to start carpet next Wednesday. The insurance company gave us a nice allotment for carpet so we got the better stuff that we LOVE to put down there. I can't wait until life is back to normal!
That night we hit the local fireworks. I love that we can leave our house 15 minutes before it starts and be home within 10 minutes of it being over. We had fun.
We came home and lit of our own. Lyvi cried, she did not like them!
I think it was a good 4th. I loved being home in the afternoon/evening. Seeing Kaite in the parade was awesome though!
